This is because any newly posted ad of quality furniture on Craigslist creates such excitement among customers that they will be willing to buy it within a few hours. Imagine their frustration if you have to tell them that they have to come back later because you aren’t prepared to let go of it yet.
Do not try to sell furniture for unreasonable price, because you won’t have any offers at all that way. If you really bought the item for a huge cost, then why are you selling it? Keep it till it loses all of its limbs.
Buyers are too smart for your tricks. They perform a far more extensive and effective search to compare the prices than you because they are the ones who have to part with money. Unless the deal is reasonable, you might get hate mails and ‘Go to hell’ calls.
And finally, post a picture of the furniture. Beg, borrow, or even steal a digital camera, but do post a picture. Otherwise your ads are likely to go unanswered.
